Currently it is possible to add or update socket policies, but not clear them. Therefore, once a socket policy has been applied, the socket cannot be used for unencrypted traffic. This patch allows (privileged) users to clear socket policies by passing in a NULL pointer and zero length argument to the {IP,IPV6}_{IPSEC,XFRM}_POLICY setsockopts. This results in both the incoming and outgoing policies being cleared. The simple approach taken in this patch cannot clear socket policies in only one direction. If desired this could be added in the future, for example by continuing to pass in a length of zero (which currently is guaranteed to return EMSGSIZE) and making the policy be a pointer to an integer that contains one of the XFRM_POLICY_{IN,OUT} enum values. An alternative would have been to interpret the length as a signed integer and use XFRM_POLICY_IN (i.e., 0) to clear the input policy and -XFRM_POLICY_OUT (i.e., -1) to clear the output policy. Several device buses (e.g. SPI, I2C) have support for retrieving an IRQ specified via this type of resource, and providing it directly to the driver as an IRQ number. This is not currently done for the platform drivers, as platform_get_irq() does not try to parse GpioInt() resources. This requires drivers to either have to support only one possible IRQ resource, or to have code in place to try both as a failsafe. While there is a possibility of ambiguity for devices that exposes multiple IRQs, it is easy and feasible to support the common case of devices that only expose one IRQ which would be of either type depending on the underlying system's architecture. This commit adds support for parsing a GpioInt resource in order to fulfill a request for the index 0 IRQ for a platform device. from: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10806705/ BUG=b:123750725 TEST=boot Kasumi360, observe GPIO work Signed-off-by: Enrico Granata <egranata@chromium.org> Change-Id: I9d106207932588ad587c32201f63841c92b7f7fd Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/1459156 Commit-Ready: Enrico Granata <egranata@chromium.org> Tested-by: Enrico Granata <egranata@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dtor@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Raul E Rangel <rrangel@chromium.org> " fail_count="1" gerrit_number="1459156" owner_email="egranata@chromium.org" pass_count="0" patch_number="3" project="chromiumos/third_party/kernel" project_url="https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/chromiumos/third_party/kernel" ref="refs/changes/56/1459156/3" remote="cros" total_fail_count="1"/><pending_commit branch="master" change_id="Ib7a06b19d2adb8e17f37491a656758272bca706a" commit="c25be0bbdb98d11f90ddacd52c3c63f0913f2877" commit_message="tast: Adding "usbip" dependency BUG=chromium:885915 TEST=None CQ-DEPEND=CL:1459931 Change-Id: Ib7a06b19d2adb8e17f37491a656758272bca706a Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/1459657 Commit-Ready: David Valleau <valleau@chromium.org> Tested-by: David Valleau <valleau@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: David Valleau <valleau@chromium.org> " fail_count="1" gerrit_number="1459657" owner_email="valleau@chromium.org" pass_count="0" patch_number="3" project="chromiumos/platform/tast" project_url="https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/chromiumos/platform/tast" ref="refs/changes/57/1459657/3" remote="cros" total_fail_count="10"/><pending_commit branch="master" change_id="Icb153232c9d1b8828d6f869c163d59ad4bf1b5b7" commit="1f437d47a54b16b0f1e396275dea99eb287e2699" commit_message="cros deploy: Fail if the package is not actually emerged. This was because the desktop file for the app was created before the installation was finished. When garcon noticed the new desktop and asked PackageKit if a package owned the file, PackageKit said no because the owning package wasn't fully installed. Worked around this by adding a post-install hook to dpkg which will touch a file in the /usr/share/applications directory after each install is finished. garcon will notice the file change and rescan after the install is done. The second scan should see that the desktop is owned by the now-fully-installed package. Alternatives considered: I tried to have garcon look at the dpkg lock and only do the scan when dpkg wasn't in the middle of an operation. This didn't work because garcon doesn't run as root and can't open the dpkg lock file. When a vhost_vsock instance is released with the timeout still pending, the socket is never freed because vhost_vsock has already set the SOCK_DONE flag. Check if the close timer is pending and let it close the socket. This prevents the race which can leak sockets. When max_fail > 0, pppd will try to connect to the peer max_fail times before exiting with an informative exit code. Cellular, by not setting this option, uses the default max_fail value of 10 prior to this change. However, cellular code also considers any disconnect from pppd to be a failure and shuts down pppd when this occurs. In this way, cellular essentially uses max_fail=1, but in a roundabout way that doesn't involve pppd being aware of the fact. This CL changes such behavior so that both shill and pppd have coherent views of how connections should be made, allowing for cellular code to use the error code returned from pppd in order to determine what kind of failure, if any, occurred. As a bonus, attempting to introduce multiple PPP connection attempts before considering the connection a failure is now as simple as changing the max_fail value. BUG=chromium:929781 TEST=-All unit tests are passing. -Connecting to a 3G dongle and then removing the dongle results in no failure; pppd exits with EXIT_OK. -Connecting to a 3G dongle and then sending SIGTERM to the spawned pppd process causes a service failure of type kFailureUnknown; pppd exits with an error (specifically EXIT_USER_REQUEST). In reality, the method pulls a table ID from an MRU id list and clears any routing entries that RoutingTable has kept track of for that particular table. Thus RoutingTable's ability to keep track of the routing entries added to kernel routing tables is essential for the overall RoutingTable functionality to work as expected. In particular, the failure to keep track of a routing entry can result in AllocTableId returning the ID of a table that still contains some routing entries. In the case of CreateBlackholeRoute, a blackhole route is added to a routing table without the entry being kept track of. In this way a table that has a blackhole route will continue to have it, even after the table is freed and re-allocated. This change fixes this issue, which has only not been a disaster so far because the Connection code tends to either not use extra tables at all or to reuse the same table id for the same purpose. Note that there is a single difference in the RTNLMessage sent, which is that RTA_DST is set (by ApplyRoute, which sets this attribute unconditionally) to an empty address, whereas the old blackhole code did not set RTA_DST at all. This does not seem to affect the behavior, but is worth keeping in mind if aberrant blackhole behavior shows up in the near future. BUG=chromium:930280 TEST=-All unit tests are passing. -Manually verified that created blackholes still work as before, despite setting the RTA_DST attribute in the rtnl message. -Created a routing table containing a blackhole route, and ensured that freeing and re-allocating that table id in shill would result in the corresponding kernel table containing no entries (prior to this change, the table would still contain the blackhole route).
