Getting started

In your build.gradle:

dependencies {
  debugImplementation 'com.squareup.leakcanary:leakcanary-android:2.0-alpha-1'
}

In your debug Application class:

class DebugExampleApplication : ExampleApplication() {

  override fun onCreate() {
    if (LeakCanary.isInAnalyzerProcess(this)) {
      // This process is dedicated to LeakCanary for heap analysis.
      // You should not init your app in this process.
      return
    }
    super.onCreate()
  }
}

You're good to go! LeakCanary will automatically show a notification when an activity or support fragment memory leak is detected in your debug build.
