QuickStart: Use Base64 type for FIDO credential id Use Base64 as the type of FIDO credential id instead of std::string. This will help us prevent encoding bugs. It is impossible to guess the encoding of a std::string data, and can lead to double-encoding or no-encoding bugs. Additionally, use Base64 instead of Base64Url as the underlying encoding (see https://crrev.com/c/5013510). This follows the encoding guideline at https://protobuf.dev/programming-guides/proto3/#json. GoogleFE / OnePlatform is lenient in allowing Base64Url representation of byte array proto fields, but the canonical representation is still Base64 (not Base64Url). Chromium is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster, and more stable way for all users to experience the web.
The project's web site is https://www.chromium.org.
To check out the source code locally, don't use git clone! Instead, follow the instructions on how to get the code.
Documentation in the source is rooted in docs/README.md.
Learn how to Get Around the Chromium Source Code Directory Structure .
For historical reasons, there are some small top level directories. Now the guidance is that new top level directories are for product (e.g. Chrome, Android WebView, Ash). Even if these products have multiple executables, the code should be in subdirectories of the product.
