Build Safe Browsing download protection on Android (2/6) This is part 2 of 6 for building code for download protection on Android. The overall strategy is to define a new buildflag, SAFE_BROWSING_DOWNLOAD_PROTECTION, and use it to guard all code related to Safe Browsing download protection, and then add Android to the platforms on which it is true. In this CL, code related to deep scanning and download feedback is explicitly excluded from building on Android. Deep scanning is not supported on Android. Download feedback will be supported in the future, but is not yet. Incident reporting for downloads is also not supported on Android. In addition, the chrome://safe-browsing debug page WebUI on Android does not support displaying deep scan requests or tailored verdict overrides. Chromium is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster, and more stable way for all users to experience the web.
The project's web site is https://www.chromium.org.
To check out the source code locally, don't use git clone! Instead, follow the instructions on how to get the code.
Documentation in the source is rooted in docs/README.md.
Learn how to Get Around the Chromium Source Code Directory Structure.
For historical reasons, there are some small top level directories. Now the guidance is that new top level directories are for product (e.g. Chrome, Android WebView, Ash). Even if these products have multiple executables, the code should be in subdirectories of the product.
