android: Create to_commit.zip for androidx Create a zip file of the libs/ dir as well as a few specific files to be updated in the tree. ``` $ unzip -l third_party/androidx/cipd/to_commit.zip | tail 385 2025-02-25 15:10 libs/androidx_tracing_tracing_ktx/androidx_tracing_tracing_ktx.info 329 2025-02-25 15:10 libs/androidx_tracing_tracing_ktx/README.chromium 18075 2025-02-25 15:10 libs/androidx_emoji_emoji/LICENSE 502 2025-02-25 15:10 libs/androidx_emoji_emoji/androidx_emoji_emoji.info 454 2025-02-25 15:10 libs/androidx_emoji_emoji/README.chromium 8486 2025-02-25 15:10 CHROMIUM_SRC/third_party/androidx/additional_readme_paths.json 154532 2025-02-25 15:10 CHROMIUM_SRC/third_party/androidx/BUILD.gn 8819 2025-02-25 15:10 CHROMIUM_SRC/third_party/androidx/build.gradle --------- ------- 2392813 506 files ``` A later CL will update //third_party/androidx/extract_and_commit_extras.py to account for the prefix CHROMIUM_SRC, as more changes are needed to allow third_party/androidx/cipd/{BUILD.gn,additional_readme_paths.json} to work in the tree without breaking the autoroller in the meantime. Chromium is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster, and more stable way for all users to experience the web.
The project's web site is https://www.chromium.org.
To check out the source code locally, don't use git clone
! Instead, follow the instructions on how to get the code.
Documentation in the source is rooted in docs/README.md.
Learn how to Get Around the Chromium Source Code Directory Structure.
For historical reasons, there are some small top level directories. Now the guidance is that new top level directories are for product (e.g. Chrome, Android WebView, Ash). Even if these products have multiple executables, the code should be in subdirectories of the product.
