Reland "Reduce extension download retry backoff while Kiosk is launching" This is a reland of commit f3ba5cf398cc85d5c31fda660e97b9cce1bc31a7 The issue with MinimumVersionKioskAutoLoginTest.AllowAutoLaunch has been fixed by preventing Kiosk splash screen from closing upon Kiosk launch failure. The reduced retry backoff is not enough for MSan build variant to fully setup OobeUI. Original change's description: > Reduce extension download retry backoff while Kiosk is launching > > When there is a communication issue with CWS extension downloader will > retry with exponentially growing backoff, which blocks Chrome OS Kiosk > launch flow to maximum about 30 minutes (progressively longer backoff > periods of up to 10 attempts, with the maximum backoff between attempts > of 10 minutes). We'd like to set a cap on the backoff duration so that > the downloader retries more frequently and fails faster while Kiosk > is launching. > > Bug: b:231914992 > Test: unit_tests and manual > Change-Id: Idf56b6fcf651c3aa2da0fee1aec13cae069ca0dc > Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/4039913 > Reviewed-by: Sergey Poromov <poromov@chromium.org> > Reviewed-by: Devlin Cronin <rdevlin.cronin@chromium.org> > Commit-Queue: Yi Xie <yixie@chromium.org> > Reviewed-by: Ben Franz <bfranz@chromium.org> > Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1082326} Bug: b:231914992 Change-Id: Ic77ca2b7eac983ed6045d382573c15223b055436 Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/4105941 Reviewed-by: Sergey Poromov <poromov@chromium.org> Commit-Queue: Yi Xie <yixie@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Ben Franz <bfranz@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Devlin Cronin <rdevlin.cronin@chromium.org> Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1085295}
Chromium is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster, and more stable way for all users to experience the web.
The project's web site is https://www.chromium.org.
To check out the source code locally, don't use git clone
! Instead, follow the instructions on how to get the code.
Documentation in the source is rooted in docs/README.md.
Learn how to Get Around the Chromium Source Code Directory Structure .
For historical reasons, there are some small top level directories. Now the guidance is that new top level directories are for product (e.g. Chrome, Android WebView, Ash). Even if these products have multiple executables, the code should be in subdirectories of the product.
