<pending_commit branch="chromeos-2016.05" change_id="I838d9cb4718e0f43e012218954c13f13932977d6" commit="ceb06ebe5afeefc7389ad2fc21a557438a2a7c19" commit_message="UPSTREAM: Make common macros double-evaluation safe I just got hit by a double-evaluation bug again, it's time to attempt to fix this once more. Unfortunately there are several issues that don't make this easy: - bitfield variables don't support typeof() - local macro variables that shadow others trigger -Werror=shadow - sign warnings with integer literal and unsigned var in typeof-MIN() - ({ statement expressions }) can not be used outside functions - romcc doesn't support any of the fancy GCC/clang extensions This patch tries to address all of them as far as possible with macro magic. We don't have the technology to solve the bitfield and non-function context issues yet (__builtin_choose_expr() still throws a "no statement expression outside a function" error if it's only in the branch that's not chosen, unfortunately), so we'll have to provide alternative macros for use in those cases (and we'll avoid making __ALIGN_MASK() double-evaluation safe for now, since it would be annoying to do that there and having an alignment mask with side effects seems very unlikely). romcc can continue using unsafe versions since we're hopefully not writing a lot of new code for it. Sign warnings can be avoided in literal/variable comparisons by always using the type of the variable there. Shadowing is avoided by picking very explicit local variable names and using a special __COUNTER__ solution for MIN() and MAX() (the only ones of these you're likely to nest). Also add DIV_ROUND_UP() to libpayload since it's a generally quite useful thing to have. The userspace stack handles all LE and bluez - EDR. This code hides LE capabilities of the chip from bluez, and thus no more changes to bluez are likely to be needed. The userspace stack is built aware of this splitter and acts accordingly (not using EDR), though this is not necessarily required, as the userspace stack can be shown an LE-only chip too. We choose not to do that as we control that stack already and there is thus no need for this. There are improvements that can be made (like seeing if there are separate LE buffers before stealing EDR bufers), which we'll address soon. The way userspace connects to this: * open /dev/hci_splitter and treat it asn an hci device * when opened a RESET command complete packet will be read * it will have the "number of comands" value set to 0 or 1 * 0 if chip i snot yet ready (and stack will wait as per spec) * 1 if chip is ready * if userspace dies, chip is reset (as no state exosts to restore it back to normalcy). * if bluez resets chip or otherwise shuts it down, another command complete event is sent as a reset (as chip is indeed reset) with "number of commands" value set to zero TEST=verified bluez remains functional and does not see any LE features with splitter on BUG=35775020 Change-Id: I2ad520b26bf7a35dc98ed2548c936734afd98f39 Signed-off-by: Dmitry Grinberg <dmitrygr@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/1558599 Commit-Ready: ChromeOS CL Exonerator Bot <chromiumos-cl-exonerator@appspot.gserviceaccount.com> Tested-by: Sonny Sasaka <sonnysasaka@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Miao-chen Chou <mcchou@chromium.org> " fail_count="2" gerrit_number="1558599" owner_email="sonnysasaka@chromium.org" pass_count="0" patch_number="1" project="chromiumos/third_party/kernel" project_url="https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/chromiumos/third_party/kernel" ref="refs/changes/99/1558599/1" remote="cros" total_fail_count="2"/><pending_commit branch="chromeos-3.18" change_id="Icb46ccc346dafecefdc3ad90ef4b3bfddacd4726" commit="ca6f30fa0ef1c3ab562e6662131d45c0e2d80b91" commit_message="CHROMIUM: Bluetooth: Fix init order in BT splitter Splitter needs to be inited BEFORE bluez thinks chip is, because some of what bluez does to bring chip up already needs splitter's intervention. By default the splitter is in an uninitialized state where it will allow nobody access to the bluetooth chip. It can be once per boot moved to an enabled or a disabled state by writing to a sysfs file which can be found at /sys/devices/virtual/misc/hci_le/le_splitter_enabled. The acceptable values to write are standard kernel sysfs boolean values, eg "Y" or "yes" or "1", etc... Once a transition to one of the states happens, any further attempts to make another one will be denied. The current state can be read out of the same file and will always report "NOT SET\n", "ON\n", or "OFF\n". Since bluez will be mightily confused about not being able to talk to the chip at boot, it will give up on it. So after moving to the enabled or disabled state, it is advised to kill and restart the userspace bluetoothd daemon, and then tell the kernel to bring up the interface again via the command "hciconfug hci0 up" or its equivalent. With the splitter on, newblue can be run, and with the splitter off, bluez has access to LE and newblue will fail to initialize if such initilization is attempted. Partial power down couldn't be exited properly, so any usb devices plugged in after boot would not be usable. Before the name change, params.hibernation was false by default, so _dwc2_hcd_suspend() would skip entering hibernation. With the rename, _dwc2_hcd_suspend() was changed to use params.power_down to decide whether or not to enter partial power down. Since params.power_down is non-zero by default, it needs to be set to 0 for rockchip devices to restore functionality. For the background, this codepath was originally added to allow for an optimization of the vault keyset decryption operation immediately after its creation - so that we're doing only one challenge-response for decrypting the TPM-protected secret, and reuse the salt's signature obtained during the creation step. This codepath won't be useful anymore, since the recent changes in the encryption algorithms (e.g., crrev.com/c/1524781) allow not doing a decryption operation when the vault keyset is created. The motivation is to prepare a place where tests for other operations - creation and verification - could be written without too much boilerplate. Detailed overview of changes: * The tests are now verifying the ChallengeCredentialsHelper::Decrypt() method, instead of directly calling into ChallengeCredentialsDecryptOperation. * The tested operation result is no more stored in the fixture class. This is done to allow adding tests for other operations in the future. * The test fixture doesn't own MockKeyChallengeService anymore - as ChallengeCredentialsHelper takes the ownership now. * The "abort operation" corner case is now tested by started a second ("surplus") Decrypt() operation. This extra operation is done with slightly modified parameters, to avoid triggering original mocks. This should include preserving the Board ID value, but setting the board id flags to zero, and erasing the INFO1 RW map, because older MP image could have a less restrictive mask. The rest of the INFO1 space should be preserved. Sometimes there is a need to set flags to a non-zero value and migrate from MP to pre-pvt. This would be possible if image is compiled with CR50_SQA set 2 or a larger numeric value. This patch creates a structure describing the layout of the INFO1 space and modifies the 'eraseflashinfo' command to behave differently depending on the build time configuration. In addition to erasing the INFO1 RW map: - when CR50_DEV is set - everything but INFO1 RO map is erased - when CR50_SQA is set to 1, the board ID flags are set to zero, and INFO1 RW map is erased. - when CR50_SQA is set to 1, the board ID flags can be set to a value which would not lock out the currently running image and INFO1 RW map is erased.
